Lala

A day at Lala

P8200378. August 8, 2012, I went to Lala with my cousins to enjoy a picnic at their friends fish farm. For me, it wasn't about the food. It has always been about what I can photograph. That's the main reason why  I bought a camera in the first place, for travel photography. This is one part of the fish pond where they have this floating nipa hut cottage attached to the land.

P8200382. Thousands of holes in the pond.

P8200391. My cousin observing the pond.

P8200395. A structure surrounded by ponds. It was a good day with gorgeous blue sky and a few puffy clouds.

P8200399. The other side of the floating nipa hut cottage.

P8200414. My cousins using a bamboo as a substitute to paddle their way to  the middle of the pond. After a few minutes of paddling. They got back and decided to call it quits because they were going nowhere.

P8200418. Macky Chilling at the end of the floating nipa hut cottage.

P8200421. Bamboo that stops the floating nipa hut cottage from tumbling and moving.

P8200429. A view from the floating nipa hut cottage.

P8200451. Finally found a paddle. My cousins paddling in the middle of the pond with a string attached to the boat just in case they lose the paddle.

P8200435. Using the pinhole art filter of the OM-D E-M5.

P8200463. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.......

P8200002 P8200037. When we went to the pond where they harvest the fishes, this kid froze in the middle of the the flimsy bridge. Took a bit of a few reassurance before he went on. (Above foto).  His big brother using a bamboo to try and hook some fishes. No success. (Right foto).

P8200022. Group waiting for the harvest to start. Getting some shade under the tree.

P8200040. Fishes jumping and splashing above the surface of the water where the fisherman or farmer passed by.

P8200116. Cross process filter of shrimps being cooked.

P8200120. Fresh fish being grilled.

P8200127 P8200134. Cooking seafood (left foto). Cross processed foto of the fishes innards (above foto).

P8200131. Another Cross processed foto. Really liking this art filter. This is of the pond that was behind the hut we were eating at.

P8200157. Fishes jumping away from the net. The screen is so that the fishes don't pass through to the other side. The fish naturally goes to where the fresh cold water comes through and thus making it easier for us to catch them. Even with the net they just keep coming back.

P8200163. Captured fishes jumping inside the net frantically trying to get back to the water.

P8200179. Upside down crab. Captured this with the net on the screen.

P8200203. Paddling towards the shore backwards.

P8200209. My cousin, peeling off the coconut's shell. Making his own coconut juice.

P8200215. The other side of the fish pond. Just beyond the trees is the sea.

P8200223. The fish pond where the harvest took place.

P8200225. Trying to catch the tiny crab swimming on the surface of the water.

P8200227. Crab on hand.

P8200239 P8200236. View from the side of the bridge (left foto). Two of my cousins crossing the bridge with some fresh catch inside the container (above foto).

P8200258. Group shot before leaving the fish farm. The lens flare is probably because I had an ND filter on.

P8200262. Cross processed shot of the landscape at Lala. really like the effect it has on the reflection on the water.

All fotos are taken with the Olympus OM-D E-M5 and M.zuiko 12-50mm f3.5-6.3 ED.
